During the international conference Astana Finance Days 2022, the AIFC Tech Hub announced the launch of a new center of corporate innovation CorpUp Central Asia in partnership with «IIDF Accelerator».

CorpUp Central Asia aims to help Central Asia’s big businesses to develop innovation and increase business efficiency through innovation consulting, technology scouting, corporate acceleration, training, and networking events for corporations and startups of the region. All this will allow companies to reduce the cost of innovation and accelerate the introduction of new products to the market.

CorpUp Central Asia is created by a team that has implemented more than 30 corporate accelerators for large enterprises , assembled one of the largest bases of technology startups in the CIS region, and deeply understands the market and technological challenges of companies from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries.

CorpUp Central Asia plans to become a regional corporate innovation hub that will help companies from the initial development of innovative strategies to the development of internal product teams and the integration of startup solutions.

In 2021, the teams of AIFC Tech Hub and the IIDF Accelerator, supported by Mastercard, an international payment system, launched the first fintech accelerator in Kazakhstan for tech startups interested in working with the local  banks. Business solutions were searched in 11 areas and 272 applications to the accelerator were considered. Altyn Bank, Eurasian Bank, and Freedom Bank became partner banks of the program.

"This project has demonstrated that the region of Kazakhstan and Central Asia is very promising in terms of open innovations, implementation and testing of the latest technologies. Corporations have a growing interest in working with startups and there is a need for a reliable partner, ready to accompany this process. Startups can offer their solutions to participate in future CorpUp Central Asia B2B programs and corporations from different industries are welcome to get involved ", - said Assel Abdrakhmanova, Head of Corporate Innovation at AIFC Tech Hub.
